Programme Manager – Operational Design & Strategy – 18 Month Contract

Location: Hybrid/UK with Travel

Package: £80,000 - £100,000 / Day Rate available (Outside IR35)

Great to be partnering with this Global Distributor on a fantastic transformational new role to support their logistics network development.

We're looking to speak to experienced Programme Managers with detailed knowledge of network redesign, new warehouse/site setups and operational warehouse development. You must have strong stakeholder management, the ability to influence cross-functionally and be comfortable being hands on, working across all levels.

This is a fantastic business going through a significant amount of change. You will be given the autonomy and ownership to have a direct impact and report directly to the board.

What will the role entail?

  • The primary role across the next 18 months will be to review & realign the operational and strategic activity across the logistics division
  • To shape and develop the optimum operating model working to improve site performance, processes systems, compliance, third party providers & supplier performance
  • Leading the setup, design and effective go live of the new warehouse(s) working cross functionally across; Operations, Engineering, HR, IT & Tech
  • Working with the key stakeholders across the business to help align company goals and pushing new ideas for efficiency and cost reduction

Key skills and experience required?

  • Previous experience developing and delivering network operational design & strategy. With a strong track record of new site start ups.
  • The ability to lead large scale change projects – looking at all aspects of supply chain operations, technology and logistics with CAPEX responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of ERP integrations and set up, not necessarily and expert but exposure to these projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence and negotiate working across all levels
  • Hands on approach to leading projects and developing new processes
