You’ll assist in the delivery and development of a programme of activities and events. By doing so, you’ll help to create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits and help them understand more about our place.
Salary: £17,238 per annum/ £12.75 an hour
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2025
Hours: An average of 26 hours per week on a two-week rota pattern, including alternate weekends and bank holidays.
Rota A - Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri
Rota B – Week 1: Wed, Thu, Fri / Week 2: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun
All shifts 9.30am-4.30pm (6.5 hours per day)
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract.

What you'll be doingYou’ll join the Visitor Experience team and report to the Senior Programming & Partnerships Officer. As a team we lead and support the planning and delivery of programming (events and activities) and interpretation at a busy property. You’ll demonstrate a passion for people, with excellent customer service skills and a high standard of presentation.
Working with the team you'll deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors all year round. You will be based predominantly in the House to support the daily operations of experiences within this historic building. This will include ORIGIN, a sound and light installation, family trails, tours and talks, and other visitor offers. You may be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of an enthusiastic team of volunteers.
Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
