Project Accountant - Callington - £40 - £45,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been contacted by a long-standing client, a large Cornish services provider who seek to recruit an experienced Project Accountant. This is a full-time and permanent position to be worked out of the company’s headquarters in Callington.

The successful candidate will report in to a Head of Commercial Accounting, but will also support an experienced CFO, Financial Controller as well as a wider team with new projects.

Key responsibilities to include:

- Taking responsibility for preparing budgets for new projects.

- Proactively identify potential issues to ensure projects stay on budget and are on time.

- Producing monthly analysis for each project, re-forecasting where appropriate.

- Creating financial reporting templates for each project.

- Other ad-hoc project related duties as required.

Who’s right for the challenge? We’re looking for a candidate with at least 18 months of recently gained project-based experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of the challenges and the fast-paced environment of a rapid growth business. You’ll need excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well with colleagues across a number of different departments. It’s going to be a challenging, but extremely rewarding, opportunity where the successful candidate will play an important role in the success of the business.
