ROLE - Project Engineer

LOCATION - Stoke

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- Dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures products a range of bespoke machinery for a range of sectors. They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Stoke on a permanent basis.

The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Ideally be degree qualified in Engineering / a related subject
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Project Engineering from working in a similar role or manufacturing environment
  • Innovative and passionate with a can-do attitude
  • Proficient with using MS Office
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexible to travel as part of the role as required
  • Engaged, enthusiastic and proactive with a systematic approach to work
  • Able to work well alone as well as in a team
The Project Engineer role will involve:

  • Agreeing project objectives
  • Providing advice on the management of projects
  • Scheduling, cost and quality control
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Planning and implementation to ensure timelines are met
  • Being creative and open-minded
  • Communicating with customers to meet specifications
  • Being involved in purchasing for projects and chasing suppliers as and when required
  • Preparing the required project related documentation & drawings
  • Making sure that all the aims of the project are met
  • Making sure the quality standards are met
  • Using IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress
  • Display a proactive, can-do attitude within the organisation, with a culture of right first time and ownership of problems
