Role Summary:


This role is to support the execution of a business transformation programme across the Europe region. All Global Businesses and Global Functions are actively involved in the wider programme and in particular the Global Businesses are the key stakeholders for Compliance as per three lines of defence model.

Europe Risk & Compliance (R&C) has established its own transformation programme (“the programme”) and governance framework, sponsored by the Europe Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer and managed by the Chief of Staff (CoS) Office.

The projects are highly sensitive and some subject to non-disclosure agreements but they all share the common objective of executing a transformation at country and regional level that will ultimately enable the R&C function to provide the required 2nd Line of Defence services to Global Businesses in their capacity as the 1st Line of Defence.

In particular the role will be supporting the migration of activities across Europe to GSC (Global Service Centres) primarily in Poland and India.

Role Responsibilities:

• Content heavy role – You must demonstrate strong business knowledge and sound business sense, and stay abreast of the industry, business-wise and technology-wise.
• Stakeholder complexity – You will often need to gather requirements and agree designs across business stakeholders, dealing with different interests and resolving disagreements and conflicts, and sometimes needing to challenge poor requirements and design decisions. They will often attend and lead these meetings or workshops with no Global Transformation supervision.
• Multi-disciplinary – You need to be able to shape business requirements and solution designs that encompass all aspects of the delivery (customer, people, process, policy, technology - system, data, infrastructure, etc). Often Business Analysts will work across multiple projects at the same time
• You will be required to work on one or more projects with a high level of complexity and scope.

Skills / Experience:

• Excellent understanding of Transformation Frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
• Outstanding understanding of Group structures, processes and objectives
• Strong understanding of banking / and understanding of how change drives benefits for, its customers and other stakeholders
• Very strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.
• Understanding of the delivery organisations within – global mindset, understanding of delivery partners etc
• Data Visa experience is Ideal
• Cost Migration
• Agile/ Quicksprint project experience
• Business analysis, requirements gathering and design techniques
• Proven track record as an outstanding analyst, consultant and/or project manager
• Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise
• Experience of organizational transformation including HR processes
• Extensive experience gathering requirements and conducting design activity, with a mix of business, operations and technology focused projects
• Strong experience of delivering change into different audiences and managing implementation in banking environments (branch, contact centre, trading floor, operations, head office etc).
• Effective communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
• Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
• Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
• Degree in Business Information Systems or a related field (desirable)
• Degree in business administration / management / economics, engineering and science (desirable)
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis (desirable)
