JA1379 – Project Manager [Sprinklers]
Location – London & Southeast
Type – Permanent – Full-time
Salary – up to £60K DOE + company vehicle & fuel card

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Project Manager with a passion for excellence to oversee the installation of automatic fire suppression systems. The successful candidate will ensure projects meet current British Standards, delivering them on time and within budget. Collaborate with clients and customers to achieve high-quality, customer-focused results. A lot of the projects will be in Central London.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee technical and financial aspects of contracts, from variations to final inspections.
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and manage material orders.
  • Represent the Company professionally at site and contract meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and Health and Safety standards.
  • Produce Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and O&M Manuals.
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and management to ensure resources are available.
  • Brief clients and site personnel on working requirements and processes.
  • Perform monthly financial assessments to track work progress and costs.
  • Communicate project issues proactively to senior management.
  • Resolve problems by suggesting and agreeing on alternative solutions.

Key Challenges:

  • Work independently and solve technical problems with value engineering solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure smooth project handovers.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Be flexible and have a full valid UK driving licence to support nationwide projects.

Role Dimensions:

  • Individual contributor role with responsibility for monitoring site personnel performance.
  • Operate in a complex matrix environment, liaising with individuals at all levels.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, CAD, Visio, Prince2, databases, and process mapping.
  • Knowledgeable in BSEN 12845, BS9251:2014, and BS9990:2015 standards.
  • Experienced in Wet and Dry Riser engineering.
  • Preferred LPC certificates (basic/intermediate or Full Hydraulic Calculation).
  • Proven project management experience within fire sprinkler installation.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
