Do you have large scale project management experience? Have you worked on CAPEX projects from initiation to completion? Our client is a market leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in Birmingham who are looking for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have successfully delivered CAPEX projects within a manufacturing environment.

Job Description
  • Responsible for CAPEX projects from initiation to completion.
  • Write and justify each CAPEX case precisely and to business standards.
  • Work across all functions and with stakeholders to agree and update a three-year plan of future projects.
  • Write RFQ’s to prospective suppliers, with technical scope and timescales.
  • On more complex projects, write functional design specification and safety requirements.
  • Work in SAP to create requisitions to generate purchase orders, monitor status of committed budget, planned spend and actual spend.
  • Present projects and agree budgets, changes and progress.
  • Create simple cost plans and complex structured plans with a work breakdown structure.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • In depth experience delivering successful CAPEX budgets, and be able to present this in interview.
  • Large scale project experience
  • Engineering/Technical experience, previously worked within a manufacturing environment.
  • Budget management
