The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business to join them on their search for a Project Manager to join their team in the Bournemouth area. The company provide excellent solutions to their clients, across a number of niches including aerospace, automotive and industrial, among others.

Sitting within the New Product Development function in the business, the position holder will provide invaluable support across multiple teams to help support the innovation and production of new products and ensuring that existing products are updated and relevant. The position holder will have oversight from inception to commercialisation across the board for these projects and will be expected to utilise excellent planning and organisation skills to assign the correct resources and manage not only internal teams, but external stakeholders too.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Leading various multidisciplinary teams across the globe to update current products and develop new ones
  • Developing project scopes to ensure alignment with business goals, and ensuring that along the way that changes are approved as needed
  • Creating and executing project plans, adhering to processes, by collaborating with a variety of colleagues in different teams, ensuring the correct functions are involved throughout as well as external resources
  • Ensuring the business is driving progression towards the achievement of technical and commercial project objectives and targets, creating detailed reports on performance against targets and ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time and within scope
  • Overseeing the workflow process from origin to commercialisation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and internal managers to monitor and communicate schedules, work plans and any revisions that are made
  • Creating when needed contingency plans in order to ensure there is a 'plan b' when the project is put at risk
  • Proactively identifying obstacles or barriers that could hinder the completion of objectives and seek to find resolutions to these swiftly
  • Leading gate reviews and project meetings in order to establish expectations and relay updates as needed to the relevant stakeholders
  • Managing the team to identify areas for continuous improvement, provide education on processes and best practices, ensuring these are followed at all times, and give feedback on completed work to aid in development
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a degree within Engineering or a related field, a Project Management certification (PMP) and have considerable project management experience and skills, specifically in resource management, risk management, scheduling and overseeing finances/budgets. Excellent communication skills are vital to ensure efficient stakeholder and team management, as well as strong leadership and motivational speaking. Candidates should have a good business or commercial acumen and be literate in IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  
What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate, a starting salary, potentially in the region of £60,000 is available, depending on project management experience possessed. This will accompany a competitive benefits package containing a variety of interesting and useful rewards and incentives alongside a solid pension contribution, strong holiday allocation and a half day finish on Fridays.
