PROJECT MANAGER / SURVEYOR

Our Client is a small practice of surveyors operating in the construction Industry, based in the Thames Valley, near Slough.

We are looking to appoint a Project Manager / Surveyor to liaise with longstanding clients, who install large medical and scanning equipment into existing developments  nationwide (generally no further north than Manchester).

The role involves liaison with the end users (hospital estates), the installers (our clients) and their nominated builders.  It is principally one of progress monitoring and communication, with occasional estimating and contract drafting (using a standard template of JCT D&B), for which training will be provided.

The role will involve regular site visits and travelling, which might account for 25% of the week.  The balance of the time will be home / office-based progress reporting. The successful candidate will be joining 2 other staff members who carry out similar roles.

Membership of a Professional Institution such as RICS, CABE or CIOB would be useful but is not essential, provided that knowledge of property / construction practices can be shown via an OND / HNC or BTEC or similar qualification.

Thomas Sands has an outstanding reputation for providing in-house training and staff development and almost all our current and past staff have gained additional qualifications in Contract Administration / Construction Law / Adjudication / Expert Witness work. Similar opportunities will be available to future staff.

An attractive salary and allowances are available for the right candidates.
