Project Manager

Salary - £40,000 + £6k Car Allowance
Location - Hybrid, Leamington Spa or Northampton

We're supporting a prestigious global software reseller that has the largest team of experienced engineering experts, assisting clients across multiple industries, including Aerospace & Defence, Architecture & Construction, Industrial Manufacturing, and Automotive.

The Project Manager role is focused on helping customer-facing Professional Service teams' complete implementation, development, and consulting projects effectively and efficiently. Client success, clear communication, and mutual understanding and alignment on business requirements, project plans, deliverables, timelines, and budget are key objectives for the Project Manager.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Initiate projects with clients and internal teams (email, internal planning calls, client kick-off calls, etc)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle
  • Present templated project plans and standard processes effectively to clients and internal teams
  • Coordinate meetings and collaboration between the groups technical team members and clients
  • Maintain, monitor, and update project plans, schedules, help identify issues, and manage changes in project scope
  • Build and manage customized project plans with the assistance of technical team members
  • Ensure thorough gathering and documentation of project requirements by the project team
  • Conduct formal risk and issue management (RAID logs) and work with project team to develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and report on project Earned Value (% complete vs. % budget spent) compared to original estimates
  • Assist the Sales team in estimating potential projects (effort days/hours and calendar elapsed time)
  • Support Sales with content and input on Proposals and Statements of Work
  • Assist with mentoring of junior project managers by providing guidance on project methodologies and best practices

Experiences required

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, related discipline or equivalent job experience
  • Must have completed a Project Management fundamentals course (eLearning or instructor-led)
  • Certificate in Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, APM, AgilePM, Scrum Master, MSP, MoP, ITIL or Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience
  • Project managed software implementation or software development for either: PLM, PDM, ERP, CRM or CPQ
  • Understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based software deployments would be beneficial
  • Exposure to, or experience in design engineering and/or manufacturing operations and processes
  • Background in Sales or Customer Service

37.5 Hours P/W | Monday to Friday | 9am to 5:30pm | Car Allowance | 25+8 Days Holiday | Performance & Company Bonus | Commission Plan | NEST Pension Scheme
