Company Overview:

Our client is an independent, family-run business that specialises in the sales, lettings and management of residential and commercial properties. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors. Situated in the popular Nottingham suburb of West Bridgford, they are looking for an accounts person to join their team on a full time basis. Ideally the candidate will have a good eye for detail, an inquisitive nature and be well organised.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Property Accounts person to join our client's busy lettings team. This is a crucial role within the company, ensuring the smooth handling of all financial aspects related to property management. The role would suit someone who is able to work in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. Ideally, you will be familiar with Bankline and Bank Reconciliations, along with allocation of all rents/landlord payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising of rent invoices on a daily basis for both residential and commercial rents.
  • Daily receipting of rents/ landlord payments etc.
  • Authorisation of contractor’s invoices.
  • Entering of invoices not relating to works orders, i.e. Landlord Utility Supplies, Council Tax etc.
  • Daily generating of Landlord Statements ready for payment along with payment of contractor’s invoices and commissions.
  • Registering of new deposits along with return of deposits.
  • Dealing with rent guarantee payments and claims.
  • Dealing with Utility Companies and Councils re vacant periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Accounts experience, property experience preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Xero
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of the residential lettings process
  • Highly organized, well-presented, and professional
  • Committed to providing exceptional service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment
