Property and Compliance Administrator

  • Permanent
  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 8 am to 5 pm, with one hour for lunch
  • Salary: £27,000 per annum

*This role will require a DBS check.

We have an exciting role that is perfect for someone who is highly organised, enjoys interacting with people, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this proactive role, you will help the Head of Property Maintenance and Maintenance Surveyors oversee and maintain essential compliance legislation for properties with tenants. You should be a strong communicator who can work independently, take control of situations as they arise, and collaborate with in-house teams, surveyors, tenants, and contractors.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Attending tenant's properties and carrying out condition inspections
  • Raising reactive repairs and assisting with preparing the planned maintenance works programme.
  • To maintain property compliance and ensure properties meet gas safety, electrical inspection, and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies.
  • Raising purchase orders and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely completion of compliance work.
  • Reporting any Health & Safety issues to the Head of Property Maintenance.
  • Chasing outstanding compliance certificates with contractors.
  • To conduct visual inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify visible defects and to provide an impartial assessment of the property's overall condition, structural soundness, and safety.
  • Coding, scanning and registration of purchase invoices ready for authorisation and payment.
  • To collect and record data relating to properties and land for technical use. 
  • To communicate with tenants, understand issues, and report these through the correct channels in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • To produce accurate and concise reports as required.
  • To carry out any other duties requested by the Head of Property Maintenance or other senior staff member.
  • To respond to all enquiries from tenants and colleagues politely, efficiently, and accurately.
