My client has an urgent requirement for a property manager to join a busy team at their head office in Oxted Surrey on a 3 month contract basis, if the assignment goes well there may be the opportunity to take a permanent role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of 600 units across several blocks, must have driving licence and will have experience of managing repairs and maintenance projects.

Job Purpose

To provide a comprehensive and professional property management service to a portfolio of leaseholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • To manage a specific residential block management portfolio
  • To make regular inspections of properties to check upon the condition of the building and grounds and to ascertain works of repair as required
  • Oversee day to day maintenance of properties, including the management of contractors
  • Oversee day to day, contracted and cyclical maintenance
  • Project manage major internal and external work
  • Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation
  • To liaise with our in house insurance department to progress any claims
  • Maintaining the website and Qube software
  • Circulate information to residents concerning management issues
  • Liaising with lessees, residents, contractors and others as required, including telephone calls, faxes and emails in a timely and courteous manner
  • Ensuring that all appropriate people are kept fully informed reporting issues
  • Take on any duties of a Retained Property Manager which are deemed appropriate by the Block Department Head

The post holder will be required to work a 37.5 hour week (hours between 9am to 5.30pm).

Based on a £40k salary pro rata

Must live within a 45 minute drive of the office.
