A property company based in Central London are looking for an experienced Property Manager to join their growing team.

The client is looking for a candidate who has block management experience and who can manage an allocated portfolio. You will be reporting to the Director.

The main purpose of a Property Manager role is:

  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance
  • Refurbishment projects
  • Property management- day to day management of a property portfolio
  • Carrying out inspections of properties and recording property conditions and deal with day-to-day maintenance matters.
  • Liaising with the accountant to ensure accounts are approved and filed on time.
  • Dealing with lessee/tenants' complaints and enquiries on a day-to-day basis.
  • Liaising with insurers on insurance claims and organising appropriate contractor to carry out the necessary works.
  • Ensuring H&S and Fire Risk Assessments including Fire Doors are carried out periodically.
  • Working with budgets and Directors of blocks
  • Property inspection and tenant liaison duties.
  • Monitoring and implementing Health and Safety requirements
  • Working with the other property manager to cover in absence when needed
  • Working with credit control department to manage arrears
  • Signing off invoices

Property Manager Specification:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in the residential property industry
  • Ideally IRPM or ARMA connected
  • Knowledge of Leasehold Legislation
  • Minimum to A level standard or equivalent
  • Intermediate level ability to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge and understanding of Block Management
  • Knowledge and previous experience of Residential Property Repair and Construction
  • Health and Safety & Fire Safety Legislation understanding
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Good telephone manner when dealing with lessees/tenants.
