Property Manager

The Property Manager is a crucial part of this Lettings team, responsible for ensuring tenancies are looked after and properties are maintained, contributing to the success and growth of the portfolio. Our client is a highly regarded independent with a well-established brand based in Bishops Stortford, with a portfolio spanning across to the villages beyond and back towards Harlow. They specialise in all areas of property, making it an ideal one-stop-shop for clients.

Therefore, as the Property Manager we need you to have:

  • Property management experience with current legislation knowledge
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • Strong team player with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and personal car required

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic salary circa £30,000
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm with some Saturday working
  • Holiday entitlement
  • On-site parking

Main Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls, greet visitors efficiently and answer enquiries where possible
  • Liaise with different parties such as colleagues, utilities providers, inventory clerks, contractors, landlords, and tenants
  • Ensure statutory safety checks (e.g., gas safety, PAT, EICR) are completed and compliance is met
  • Maintain accurate property records
  • Process contractor invoices for accounts
  • Manage property maintenance issues and oversee repairs and maintenance
  • Schedule property visits with tenants
  • Issue section notices
  • Handle check-in, check-out reports and deposit returns
