The Property Manager is a crucial part of this Lettings team, responsible for ensuring tenancies are looked after and properties are maintained, contributing to the success and growth of the portfolio. Our client is a highly regarded independent with a well-established brand based in Bishops Stortford, with a portfolio spanning across to the villages beyond and back towards Harlow. They specialise in all areas of property, making it an ideal one-stop-shop for clients.
Therefore, as the Property Manager we need you to have:
- Property management experience with current legislation knowledge
- Excellent IT and communication skills
- Strong team player with problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and personal car required
Salary and Benefits:
- Basic salary circa £30,000
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm with some Saturday working
- Holiday entitlement
- On-site parking
Main Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, greet visitors efficiently and answer enquiries where possible
- Liaise with different parties such as colleagues, utilities providers, inventory clerks, contractors, landlords, and tenants
- Ensure statutory safety checks (e.g., gas safety, PAT, EICR) are completed and compliance is met
- Maintain accurate property records
- Process contractor invoices for accounts
- Manage property maintenance issues and oversee repairs and maintenance
- Schedule property visits with tenants
- Issue section notices
- Handle check-in, check-out reports and deposit returns
