Proposals Specialist - Leading International Law Firm

Based in London or Paris, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated bids specialist to join a leading law firm as part of their Global Proposals Team.

Working under the direction of the Global Proposals Manager, you will lead on responses for strategic pitch and panel opportunities, applying proposal best practices and processes, and will also support the Partnership and wider Business Development Team on the preparation of client-facing pitch opportunities more broadly. Preparing, managing and delivering responses to panel pitches and strategic multi-jurisdiction and practice proposals for the firm, the Proposals Specialist will take the partners and lawyers through the entire pitching process from kick-off meeting, through to submission and presentation stage. Developing and implementing pitch best practices and processes to ensure consistency of delivery and approach to pitching throughout the firm and to increase efficiencies, you will oversee a portfolio of pitches, including drafting and reviewing content from a business development perspective, advising on strategy and messaging, and facilitating meetings to coach lawyers on winning proposals. You will be required to develop pitch content that encapsulates a client-centric approach and create presentation materials for internal and external clients, writing initial drafts. The successful applicant will also assist the Proposals Managers in coordinating pitch presentation rehearsals, and in providing coaching on style, approach and messaging for the lawyers. Continually developing and looking to innovate the firm's approach to winning business, including conducting feedback calls with clients for submitted proposals, identifying themes from the feedback given and taking appropriate actions, will represent an important focus of this challenging role.

An effective team player with proven experience of managing pitches and providing advice on approach and strategy, the Proposals Specialist will have a track record of successfully managing proposals end-to-end in a law firm or professional services environment. With excellent time and project management skills and the ability to organise and manage a diverse range of projects, prioritising multiple tasks with competing deadlines, the Proposals Specialist will need exceptional attention to detail and excel at motivating partners and senior lawyers. Past experience of using Foundation and in developing best practice and implementing new processes will be highly advantageous.
