Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant | Harrow, HA3 | £95-£105 | Long-term to Perm | Full Time, Term-Time | September 2024

Are you a passionate and motivated Psychology graduate? Do you have a genuine desire to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the support staff team at a fantastic primary school in the Harrow area. This graduate role is set to start in September, running through the academic year, with the potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent contract with the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to children with special educational needs, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to create tailored learning plans.
  • Implement interventions to address behavioural challenges and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group sessions to develop essential skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Prior experience in special education or a similar setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
