Opus People Solutions on behalf of Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority have an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities:
    • Transport Summit
    • CPCA presence at conference season
    • Campaign for Better Transport fact finding day
    • MP briefings
    • Cllr briefings
  • Produce briefings for:
    • NIC visit
    • Transport Summit (inc. speaker briefings)
    • Campaign for Better Transport fact finding day
    • Cllr briefings
    • MP briefings
  • Business as usual tasks:
    • Updating CRM
    • Horizon scanning
    • Stakeholder mapping

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience in public affairs, PR, communications, event management
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging written content
  • Be comfortable working to tight deadlines and monitoring the news and other media to provide proactive strategic advice
  • Be comfortable creating content to suit a range of media, including print and online, social media, digital and other communications channels where necessary
  • Experience of planning, undertaking and evaluating public affairs strategies and campaigns.
