PR Assistant – Contract until 31st December 2024

£27000 Pro rata

My client, a well established brand are recruiting for a PR Assistant to join them on a fixed term contact until December 2024.

The role

The PR Assistant will learn the diverse functions of a press office, as well as support a range of communication activities to help spread brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

  • Build relationships with journalist and influencers
  • Keeping up with the news and identifying reactive opportunities with the support of the team
  • Keeping abreast of social media trends 
  • Developing briefing docs if and when required 
  • To support the team in providing back up for the Customer Information Line
  • Researching, monitoring and summarising industry news for reporting purposes
  • Tracks and clips media coverage
  • To support and progress projects agreed by the PR Manager; including desk research, event coordination, media pack creation and influencer management
  • Transcribe audio and podcast interviews so that it can be analysed for learnings
  • Build targeted journalist database 
  • Develop ad-hoc LinkedIn posts to support events or campaigns
  • To effectively manage tasks and projects within the deadlines set by PR Manager .
  • Attend relevant webinars and events, take notes and report back to team 
  • Support with seeking relevant awards for upcoming year
