Handle Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a global book publisher to source a Publicity Manager to plan and execute eye-catching, sales-driven publicity campaigns. This role involves generating effective press coverage across all media and events, driving sales, and raising brand awareness in the children's entertainment and publishing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead external communications within the children's PR and marketing team.
- Collaborate with global marketing, social, brand, and creative teams.
- Support the team assistant and share knowledge on a range of titles.
- Create and execute integrated publicity campaigns.
- Maintain strong children's media relations and knowledge of digital/social media.
- Build relationships with journalists, librarians, retailers, and literary gatekeepers.
- Secure sales-driving media coverage.
- Maintain and update publicity media databases and campaign documents.
- Provide exemplary author and agent care.
- Write impactful press releases and promotional copy.
- Handle PR enquiries and organise events.
- Coordinate review mailings and process invoices/expenses.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven experience in generating standout PR coverage and events, preferably in trade publishing.
- Strong PR knowledge and established media connections.
- Enthusiastic about innovative book promotion strategies.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and people skills.
- Ability to analyse campaign effectiveness and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and team-oriented.
