Punch Press Operators

This company is seeking experienced Punch Press & Press Brake Operators to work a permanent night shift for a sheet metal manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business in Telford that offers a basic salary of up to £34,000 per annum, with overtime regularly available and paid at premium rates. You will be working 10 hour shifts 4 nights per week (40 hours total), with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills and experience.

We are looking or people who have worked on Press Brakes, Punch Presses or a Laser Machine and have either setting and operating, or just operating experience.

We are looking for people who have experience with either Trumpf or AMADA machines, has experience with thin gauge materials and can work and read technical drawings.

The hiring manager would consider taking someone onto a permanent contract from Day 1 providing you have the right experience.

• Load and check programmes as per job sheet and select correct materials
• Load and unload parts into the TRUMPF or Amada Punch Press
• Set and operate the Punch Press, ensuring quality inspection of parts using equipment and gauges
• Work from engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards
• Maintain and clean equipment and workspace in an organised manner
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations

• Previous experience of setting/operating Punch Presses or Lasers
• Previous experience on either an AMADA or TRUMPF machine
• Ability to interpret and work to Engineering drawings
• Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
• Experience with thin gauge materials and can work and read technical drawings
