Based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire our client is a leader in their field looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their growing team on permanent basis. The role will be based in their offices 5 days per week.

This job would suit someone AAT qualified or studying towards their Level 3 AAT qualification, to manage and deal with all purchase ledger function including producing accurate and timely Purchase Ledger reports to the business.

This company is a market leader within their field, and have a great reputation within their industry. The business has grown steadily in recent years and can offer the chance to develop your skillset further. This is a key role for the business, you will gain exposure to various stakeholders, both internal and external at a variety of levels.

The successful individual will be comfortable in dealing with figures and numbers with good communication skills and a professional telephone manner. This person must have some knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Word and Excel. Sage 50 Accounts experience is preferred.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase ledger process from start to finish
  • Invoice Processing
  • Invoice Verification
  • Raising and managing company invoice queries
  • Managing and sending weekly invoice approval runs to the business
  • Preparation of twice monthly payment runs for approval
  • Raising payments/Cheques - Rasing supplier payments either by bank of cheque as required
  • Ad hoc Tasks
