We are currently on the lookout for a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk with experience in using the Prophet system to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of purchase ledger processes, and is keen to contribute to the financial efficiency of our operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate recording of invoices.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Preparing payment runs and managing supplier payments.
  • Liaising with suppliers and resolving any invoice or payment queries.
  • Utilising Prophet to input and manage financial data.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.
  • Working closely with the finance team to improve processes and controls within the purchase ledger function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
  • Proficiency with Prophet software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
