This market leading health and sustainability solution provider are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join their on-site finance and accounts team in Thirsk.

You will be an ambitious candidate who wishes to progress in their career, assisting with more duties as the business grows.

WHAT YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW AS A PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR IN THIS ROLE;

  • £28000 - £30,000
  • Monday-Friday, 40 hour per week
  • Office Based

A SNAPSHOT OF THE PURCHASING ADMINISTRATORS’ DAY

  • Import and export clearance management
  • Working with supply chain on ERP ensuring raw material availability and stock accuracy
  • Purchasing planning, placing orders
  • Purchasing tracking
  • Expediting orders where required
  • Obtaining/Negotiating price and terms & conditions
  • Dealing with supplier invoice queries
  • Maintaining Suppliers Database
  • Working with regulatory and quality teams on product and supplier approval
  • Development of good relations with the existing and new suppliers
  • Dealing with supplier complaints
  • Any other duties as requested by management.

  • Minimum of 3 years in similar role
  • Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft office Packages, Cliksense, Business Central 365 and strong IT skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative and demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Be a strong team player with ability to work on cross functional teams and projects
  • An ability to work on own initiative and to work collaboratively with others
