Purchasing and Technical Assistant
Location: Carlisle
Salary: £23,400 - £24,000
Job type: Full Time – Permanent
Key responsibilities
- To generate purchase orders as required based on system generated reports
- To ensure that Purchase Orders have correct supplier, product, delivery, quantity and price information
- To maintain and update purchase order quantities, dates and prices
- To maintain and update system product details and prices
- To create new product codes and details on Sage200
- To create, maintain and update product Tech packs on WFX software.
- To create embroidery position sheets for inclusion in Tech packs.
- To order fabric, braid, cord and other trims for use in the UK as required.
- To place ad hoc purchase orders with UK suppliers as required.
- To work closely with other areas of the business to ensure made-to-order purchase orders are processed to schedule.
- To work with wider supply chain to monitor critical path of purchase orders.
- To support the freight logistics process and liaise internally and externally as required.
- Assisting the Purchasing and Technical Administrator with product development.
- Liaising with offshore factories and mills on production, lab dip and bulk submits when required.
- Organising Sales team samples either from stock or requesting from the factory.
- Assisting with any customer product queries through the Customer Service team.
- Following up with the warehouse on any delivery issues.
- Updating packaging manuals and designs as required using Illustrator.
- To support Customer Services team with order input at peak times.
- To reflect and maintain the Core Values of the business.
