Pertemps are working with a company based in Wolverhampton who have an opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.
Supporting 2 Buyers, your duties will include:

• Expediting purchase orders with suppliers.
• Working to maintain excellent in stock levels to meet business requirements.
• Work with warehouse team regarding delivery discrepancies.
• Processing vendor returns – including communications with all relevant functions internally and externally to completion.
• Managing team inboxes – both following through requests to completion and identifying & assigning tasks to team.
• Updating and maintaining ERP/MRP system data.
• Updating and maintaining price files in ERP/MRP system.
• Checking and processing order acknowledgments, ensuring data on system is kept up to date.
• Building relationship with internal stakeholders.
• Working with and assisting procurement team with other associated tasks.

Required Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact and build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-player mentality and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience with SAP, beneficial but not essential.

This is an office based role working monday to friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
