Purchasing Assistant – £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience– Birmingham (Maternity Cover - Potential for Permanency) (Hybrid)

The Role

Intec Microsystems is a leading distributor of branded IT Hardware, Services and Support, with offices in Birmingham and across Europe. Founded in 2003, we've achieved consistent growth, reaching a £75 million turnover in 2023. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated and reliable Purchasing Assistant to join our team.

This is a maternity cover role, initially for 12 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent subject to review. You'll work within the purchasing department, handling other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating purchase orders.
  • Tracking deliveries.
  • Supporting the sales team with purchases.
  • Booking direct deliveries.
  • Using our internal system, IMS.

The Person

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable working on computers.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
