Joining the Procurement Department as a Purchasing Assistant, you'll be involved in a broad range of purchasing and sourcing activities. This is an onsite role – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Responsibilities will include:
Manage supplier accreditation and performance.
Initiate new supplier accounts and manage stock levels.
Work closely with suppliers to improve delivery, pricing, and explore new products.
Monitor project spend and profitability, achieving savings.
Monitor stock levels and review orders via MRP system.
Create new stock codes and coordinate with the warehouse.
Collaborate closely with Production, Sales and Accounts.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Purchasing/Procurement and Order Processing.
Good IT skills including proficiency in MRP systems and MS Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
