As Purchasing & Logistics Manager, you will report directly to the senior leadership team and play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective procurement and delivery of products across the UK. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role encompassing supplier management, stock control, logistics coordination, and compliance.

Our client is a leading importer and distributor of premium wines and spirits in the UK, renowned for curating a portfolio of exceptional producers from around the world. With a reputation built on quality, authenticity, and strong relationships, they serve a discerning clientele across fine dining, luxury retail, and private clients.

Description

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, freight forwarders, and 3PL warehousing
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including international shipments and UK distribution
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory across SKUs, ensuring availability while minimising wastage
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC and import/export regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to support business goals

Profile

  • Proven experience in logistics & supply chain, ideally within the wine & spirits or premium FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UK import/export regulations, bonded warehousing, and customs documentation
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (ideally Sage)
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • WSET qualifications or an interest in fine wine is a plus
