Python programmer

A Financial Services client of ours is seeking a skilled python programmer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract basis to assist them on several new projects as well as Structure targeted training and mentorship programs for other Python developers.

Description

Your main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Developing and implement Python applications.
• Establishing and enforcing coding standards and best practices.
• Implementing rigorous security and compliance measures.
• Structuring targeted training and mentorship programs for other Python developers.
• Developing a thorough code review and approval processes and implement them.
• Creating effective monitoring and feedback mechanisms.
• Create a starter framework for Python Notebooks, API's and client applications adhering to 1 and 2
• Potently explore AI usecases after Python improvements

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Commercial experience within the financial services industry developing and implementing python applications
• Previous experience mentoring and training fellow python developers within their team and conducting code reviews
• Explored AI usecases after python improvements
• Able to commute to the London office on a hybrid basis 2-3 days per week
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Amazing collaboration skills and able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Offer

On offer for a successful candidate is the ability to earn up to £700 per day inside IR35 on an initial 6 month contract with the ability of an extension while working in a hybrid format.
