Our local authority client is looking for an experienced QHSE Training Officerto join their busy team based in Sellafield. Full details below:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • The QHSE Training officer role is an integral part of the QHSE Team, proudly supporting the client in their objective to ensure new and existing colleagues are appropriately trained to fulfil the development and execution of strategies to ensure that all staff members are fully SQEP (Suitably Qualified Experienced Person) trained to achieve full training within the specified timeframes.
  • It is crucial to maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, SQEP obligations, and QHSE requirements to maximize team competence.
  • You will be delivering existing training packages and working alongside the rest of our QHSE team.
  • This is a new role which will allow you to mould and grow the job and take lead of the team

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Have a range of QHSE experience within heavy industry, this can include, nuclear, energy, construction, large industrial or gas.
  • You will have knowledge of a range of topics such as H&S, Risk Assessments, CDM, IOSH, NEBOSH or Frist Aid.
  • You will either have a background in delivering training or demonstrate the transferable skills to lead and teach courses around H&S.
  • Teaching or Coaching qualification is desirable but not a requirement.
  • You must be passionate about QHSE and willing to take the lead on this new role, and mould it into a successful training course that will allow the company to cut down on the amount of online/remote training material currently being delivered.
