Your new role
As the Social Work Team Manager, you will lead, manage, and guide a high-calibre team of social workers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining effective communication, promoting best practice, and ensuring the delivery of quality services within a fast-paced environment.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and supervision to social workers.
- Oversee the assessment of referrals, identifying risks, and prioritising cases.
- Work closely with partner agencies, including police, health, and education professionals.
- Ensure adherence to statutory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Make informed decisions regarding child protection and safeguarding.
- Monitor team performance, address challenges, and celebrate achievements.
- Support continuous learning and development for team members.
What you'll need to succeed
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience, preferably within MASH teams.
- Up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ideally to have DBS on the update service to ensure a quick start.
