We are currently recruiting for an established accountancy firm based in Ripon who are seeking an experienced Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. You will be working for a friendly, dynamic firm that has a strong focus on internal team culture and has a great reputation of providing complete, tailored accounting solutions for the businesses they work with. It is essential that you have experience of working in a practice based role and that you are AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified, allowing you to seamlessly transition into the role.
 
Accountant Duties:
  • Preparing accounts on behalf of clients across the portfolio.
  • Inputting draft accounts onto the internal system.
  • Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, reconciling creditors.
  • Reconciliation of PAYE and VAT.
  • Processing and inputting VAT figures.
  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements to clients.
  • Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
  • Helping to train/advise junior members of staff as required.
  • Manage accounts audit procedures.
Skills required:
  • Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice (essential).
  • Excellent levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Quality organisational skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA qualifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team
