Paying up to £24,000 + Benefits + Full Training - Based in Middleton, North Manchester our client is a successful manufacturing business that are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their busy and expanding quality control team. This is a laboratory-based role working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30 to 2.45pm, which includes a 30-minute lunch break each day.

THE JOB

Reporting to the SHEQ (Safety Health Environment and Quality) Manager, as Quality Assurance Technician you’ll become part of a small SHEQ team, regularly communicating with the Sales Administration and Production teams, working to ensure that all customers receive quality products on schedule.

Your main responsibilities as Quality Assurance Technician will be testing finished goods and raw materials. You’ll record quality data on a QMS (Quality Management System), which will flag any issues and help investigate any non conformances.

THE PERSON

Previous experience of working in a similar role would be preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided. This role will suit a very organised applicant, with a keen eye for detail. You will take pride in completing tasks, both accurately and efficiently.

  • Ability to follow procedures as required by internal and external quality standards
  • Work productively and effectively to lead times whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality

  • Willing to learn, improve and adapt
  • Computer literate and competent in basic MS Office applications
