Quality Engineer - Skelmersdale

We are seeking a skilled individual with a strong background Quality engineering for our clients business based in Skelmersdale to start ASAP.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be working in a busy manufacturing environment overseeing 2 production lines that create PPE Equipment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Cultivating a network of resources across various departments to facilitate the successful completion of assignments.
  • Overseeing 2 production lines, working closely with the production team , overseeing Quality.
  • Participating actively in project planning, contributing to establishing project objectives and priorities.
  • Maintaining an awareness of quality improvement and product opportunities, and proactively suggesting and testing ideas.
  • Conducting and leading inter-laboratory test method studies, ensuring our processes are efficient and effective.
  • Planning and leading quality system and process audits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Accurately documenting results, observations, and conclusions in technical notebooks or approved electronic files.
  • Preparing reports to communicate results to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Occasionally providing guidance and training to other team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

What we're looking for

  • Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience within plastics or moulding manufacturing a strong advantage
  • A engineering graduate with an accredited degree in one of the mentioned sciences or a baccalaureate degree in those sciences a strong advantage but not essential
  • Professional certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) through the American Society (ASQ) desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of quality systems such as Quality Manuals, ISO9000, MBNQ.
  • A strong knowledge of basic quality systems, statistical tools, and intermediate-level statistical and quality engineering tools, Micrometers and Verniers
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical tools is a plus.

Hours: Working 8-5 Mon to Thur, Fri 8-12 - Days

Salary £20.00 - £26.93

This is a Fixed Term Contract position for 12 months, offering an attractive hourly rate ranging from £20.00 to £26.93. You'll be based in Skelmersdale, conveniently located just 12 minutes walk from Upholland train station.
