Quality Inspector/ Team Leader

A1 Personnel are recruiting for an Inspection Team Leader to join their Quality team at their new, state of the art facility in West Horndon.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the inspection department, providing support and guidance to the inspectors whilst ensuring all products entering the business are adequately inspected and handled in accordance with company operating standards.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and documentation inspections of incoming parts and outgoing products, identifying deficiencies, and coordinating the corrective actions required.
• Control and verification of associated documentation including FAIRs and trace paperwork.
• Analysing the inspection results and outcome data, compiling detailed reports for the senior management team.
• Problem-solving techniques, capable of identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the aviation/ aerospace sector, or other quality critical sectors such as Medical or Defence.
• Working knowledge of FAIRs, and other documentation associated with the distribution of similar materials.
• Ability to understand paperwork trace documentation.
• Experience with measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres etc.) and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Effective team management skills.
• Computer literate with an intermediate skillset in Excel. Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly accurate and organised.
