Brief
Quality Inspector needed for a leading engineering firm based in the Glasgow area.
What the role of the Quality Inspector entails:
Some of the main duties of the Quality Inspector will include:
- Conducting all inspection activities in line with Programme's inspection and test plan with applicable standards and specifications (Multi Trade)
- Ensuring all test activities are completed and compliant in line with relevant test forms as owned by the Quality Control Team
- Compiling and issuing all relevant reports in a timely manner and maintain accurate records in the sited format
- Implementing Quality Tools and Techniques across Programme through continuous improvement
- Supporting Quality Investigation/internal audit / process confirmation within the Engineering Programmes
- Supporting the Zero Defect Culture/Right First time across the business and into Supply Chain
What experience you need to be the successful Quality Inspector:
- Time served or equivalent qualification (Mechanical/Pipefitter and/or Inspection)
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the trade application and industry standards/specification
- Experience in relevant measuring tools and testing techniques
- Experience of shipbuilding would be highly desirable
