Our client an industrial machinery manufacturing company based in Harlow are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their team.

The role will involve maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in process production and finished products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a machining environment which operates CNC manual machining.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and measuring precision parts
  • Troubleshooting and resolving day to day production issues with the shop floor
  • Recording quality results, raising dispatch documents such as Certificates of Conformance, PPAP’s (production part approval process) and/or ISIR’s (initial sample inspection report)

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing machine shop environment, inspecting parts made through CNC machining, manual turning, grinding using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers & height gauges.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings with an understanding of GD&T symbols and of quality control techniques and equipment.
  • Experience in QMS ISO9001 and able to create and document procedures and internal audit of benefit but not essential
  • Knowledge of QMS ISO9001 and the ability to use a CMM would be a benefit but not essential.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft products - Excel & Outlook

This is an office-based role working Monday to Thursday 7am-5pm.

Salary for the role is £36,000 per annum.
