Quality Manager

We are looking for a career-driven, experienced Quality Engineer/Coordinator who wants to take the step up to lead a team and oversee all quality control activities to join our team here at SBR as a Quality Manager!

The successful applicant will manage and coordinate the internal structure of SBR based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met consistently; this includes:

• Leading and overseeing all quality control (QC) activities within SBR to ensure the production and delivery of defect-free, high-performance rubber components that meet the rigorous standards of the aerospace and military industries
• Implementing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards, ensuring continuous improvement in quality processes

As well as leading and overseeing QC activities, the Quality Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Quality Control and Assurance - Developing and implementing comprehensive inspection plans for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, overseeing the activities of QC inspectors and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to address quality issues
• Supplier Quality Management - Conducting supplier audits to assess their quality management systems and processes and developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers
• Customer Focus - Liaising with internal and external customers to understand their quality expectations and requirements
• Continuous Improvement - Leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
