A Life Science client in central Manchester are looking to hire a Quality Officer who wants to get involved in all areas of the quality system. Working collaboratively with R&D, regulatory, production, commercial, operations and everyone in between, this position allows you to fully immerse yourself into the business.

The client are approximately 50 people in size giving you direct access to the senior team (no chasing down management here, they are on desk with you.) The company focus on developing IVDs, but are open minded to people with a Medical, IVD or 9001 background, so long as there's a strong understanding of quality systems and the desire to learn.

Working here, we'd expect you to get in the weeds. As a small team it's vital you can find the balance of working collectively as part of a team, supporting each other throughout busy periods, whilst staying on top of your own workload.

As a Quality Officer in our client's organisation, you will have the chance to:

  • Analyse data and provide reports for management review and other relevant boards.
  • Lead risk management activities and support the non-conformance/deviation system.
  • Assist in the creation and review of important files, such as Technical, Medical Device, and Design History Files.
  • Offer guidance on interpretation of SOP's and regulatory requirements.
  • Play an active role in internal and supplier audits, as well as external inspections and audits.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Either a Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science or related field or demonstrated work experience within QA.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, this one is key to thrive here.
  • Excited to be part of a smaller business where your work is recognised and appreciated.

  • This position is looking for someone early in their career, looking to grow and develop, depending on experience they can pay up to £30,000.
  • The business are central Manchester, with free parking and easy transport links into the city.
