Quality Technician

£28,000 - £35,000 Per Annum

Our client, a well-established and dynamic engineering and manufacturing company are looking to expand! They are currently looking for an Quality Technician to join them.

Quality Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out product tests and final inspection of finished assemblies to procedure
  • Goods In Inspection, and inspection of all components at all stages of the manufacturing process as required
  • Responsible for checking, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspection records
  • Support and participate in process improvement activities
  • Formally reporting all defects, alerting the Quality Manager of ongoing problems and delivering resolutions
  • Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved
  • Ensuring all incidents of non-conformance are recorded
  • Control of Quarantine Area and Stock
  • Control of Calibrated Tools and equipment
  • Preparation of ISIR, inspection checklists and other required inspection documentation
  • Perform capability studies, Gage R&R and other QA functions as required for various projects and Customers
  • Support the development and role out of the companies quality processes and internal systems (such as ERP system)
  • Work closely with different departments to help support the efficient production of parts

The ideal Quality Technician will:

  • Have previously worked within a Quality Department
  • Have experience of inspecting electrical wiring harnesses
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office packages including Excel
  • Previously worked within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Have an understanding of System25 build assemblies (desirable)
  • Experience of using Cirris Tester (desirable)
