Location: Commutable to Romford

Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000

The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Groundwork & Reinforcements will involve:

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with a range groundworks, reinforcement and civil engineering, temporary works, and formwork projects
• Managing subcontractors; send out enquiries, collate prices, tender comparing, order placement
• Cost management for project/section of works
• Value/change management for scope of works
• Evaluating and managing project risks and opportunities
• Assist in the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation, enquiries and negotiations
• Financial reporting
• Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims
• Submission of applications
• Project sizes can vary from £500,000 to £5,000,000

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor - Groundwork & Reinforcements with:

• Must have 5 + years Quantity Surveying experience dealing with groundworks, reinforcement and civil engineering, temporary works, and formwork etc
• Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent
• Subcontractor experience
• Full UK driving license
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ambitious with a desire to succeed and grow with the company
• Personable, team player, problem solver, driven and enthusiastic
