Job Description: Senior Quantity Surveyor with Scaffolding Experience

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Kent
Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Oversee budgeting, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Project Evaluation: Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Tendering: Prepare and evaluate tender documents and negotiate contracts.
  • Measurement and Valuation: Perform accurate measurements and valuations.
  • Claims Management: Handle claims for additional work and disputes resolution.
  • Cost Reporting: Provide regular cost updates to management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quantity surveying, with scaffolding experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project), strong analytical and communication skills, proven leadership abilities.
