Quantity Surveyor – Plymouth
An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a regional contractor on a permanent basis. This contractor undertake a variety of sectors including new build Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Commercial. You will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders under a variety of forms of procurement. As a Quantity Surveyor working with this regional contractor, you will manage the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise cashflow.

Responsibilities:
  • To support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise
  • Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
  • Implement policies for risk management
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly cost reports
  • Value works executed by Sub-Contractors
  • Certify interim and final payments
  • Prepare subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returns
  • Manage prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes
  • Monitor and track project costs, including variations, change orders, and progress payments to ensure financial control and accuracy
Skills:
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or construction related
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and cost analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with quantity surveying software
  • Relevant driving licence
