Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - North East London/Essex

Are you looking to be part of a modern, forward-thinking construction specialist where you're given endless autonomy on projects? Do you want to progress your career within the next 2-3 years into a more senior role?

A well-established main contractor that operates across London and the Southeast with a turnover in excess of £150 million per annum, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to assist with the commercial management of a number of refurbishment projects.

This main contractor holds an excellent reputation in the marketplace for delivering education, residential, commercial, and public buildings.

The Quantity Surveyor's role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will look to run JCT and NEC projects with build values from £500k - £8m. 80% of these projects consist of refurbishment, so experience in this area is vital!

The Quantity Surveyor

The Commercial Director is looking for the Quantity Surveyor to have come from a similar main contractor who has extensive refurbishment experience.

The successful Quantity Surveyor must be/have:

  • Must have run a number of general contracting construction projects from start to finish.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience post degree.
  • Loyalty to employers (no jumps from role to role).
  • Ambition to stay with this business long term and progress up the commercial ranks.
