We carry out groundworks and civil engineering projects predominantly in the residential house building market for various clients across the East Midlands and Northern Home Counties. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our busy commercial team. Responsible for cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of the project from inception to post-completion, the role is primarily office based (at our offices in Finedon, Northants) and the ideal candidate will live within a reasonable commute to this location.

Role responsibilities will include:

Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.

Management of day to day commercial and contract activities.

Forming and maintaining working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and site operations staff.

Sub-contractor procurement and valuations

Working clearly and accurately under pressure and tight time scales.

Required skills and experience:

Previous Quantity Surveying experience

Construction industry knowledge

Financial and numeracy management skills

Excellent communication and negotiating skills

The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily

Computer literacy

An understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines

In return we offer a competitive remuneration package which will include a negotiable annual salary of around £40,000 (DOE), a company vehicle (or car allowance), and employer contributory pension scheme.
