Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking a challenging opportunity
The role
Due to the continuous growth and business expansion, we are looking to appoint Quantity Surveyor to join our management team. Reporting directly to Managing Director you will be responsible for the commercial support of the business. Our client are looking for someone with a keen ambition to propel their career forward, demonstrating both potential and enthusiasm for their professional venture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately tender jobs from construction drawings, site visits and meeting with the clients
- Manage the contracts Supply Chain with regards to subcontractor costs
- Contribute to optimisation of project profitability
- Identify, develop and implement opportunities for efficiencies and service optimisation in all cash-flow related processes
- Generate monthly applications and invoicing for our clients.
- Create cost reports and deftly control budgets
- Produce Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and in-depth cost reports
- Forecast cost to complete of larger projects
Experience and Qualifications:
- A Civil/Commercial/Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
- Proven experience as a QS/Contract/Commercial Manager
- Extensive knowledge and experience of construction contracts, cost management and estimating
- Advanced analytical skills
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook
- A full UK driving licence
