Quantity Surveyor – Exeter
RGB is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position with a leading tier one contractor. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established building contractor that delivers innovative projects for both public and private sectors. As the Quantity Surveyor, your role will be to ensure financial completion of projects and protect the company's financial risks. Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinating with, reporting to and implementing the reasonable directives of the Regional Director/Manager and the SQS
  • Ensure the timely submission of all relevant data required
  • Prepare accurate draft sub-contracts and/or to approve such drafts as prepared by subordinates
  • Assist contracts management in the administration of sub-contractor performance
  • Prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection
  • Responsible for managing meetings
Applicants should possess:
  • Degree within Quantity Surveying
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Packages
  • Extensive experience of working on live projects and final accounts
  • Exposure to resolving disputes
  • Ability to negotiate with clients/sub contractors and draft sub contracts
  • Knowledge of CIS
  • Successfully completed a number of final accounts
  • Relevant driving licence
