Quantity Surveyor
Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Severfield, the largest specialist structural steelwork Group in the UK, with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.
This role offers remote working with travel to the office around twice a month.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team in the group’s Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working for a business which prides itself on quality and innovation, with unrivalled expertise in critical infrastructure projects.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the infrastructure sectors – JCT contracts.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Delivery, as part of a team, of successful commercial infrastructure projects
- Commercial responsibilities from contract award through to completion and final account
- Managing variations and changes with customers
- Working as part of an experienced commercial team
- Developing relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
The Quantity Surveyor will need:
- Previous experience working as a QS or Assistant QS
- Construction industry experience in a commercial role
- JCT Contracts experience
- Experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence
- An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
- Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining relationships
