Off the back of another significant funding round, this innovative biotech company is expanding its Programme Management team as they progress their pipeline into the clinic. You'll be joining a highly experienced team and helping to push their projects through R&D markers and into clinical studies.
The company has a flexible working set-up and so the role can have a strong home-based element, and a highly collaborative working environment.

Your new role

  • You'll be a core member of the R&D and Clinical Development Team, working closely with Senior Leadership to execute the team's strategy within budget and timelines.
  • Your role includes program managing the Development Teams and associated activities, ensuring active life cycle management to maximise product value and intellectual property.
  • You'll create, maintain, and monitor integrated strategic and operational product plans, facilitate meetings, and track progress across projects.
  • Additionally, you'll provide project management support for R&D activities, liaise with Program Management, and contribute to portfolio methodology.


Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: You'll work across functional boundaries to evaluate product opportunities, develop integrated strategic plans, and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Manage R&D projects: You'll coordinate and track R&D deliverables, monitor project performance, and provide regular reporting. Additionally, you'll act as the primary liaison between teams.
  • PMO: You'll support product planning, maintain templates, and contribute to portfolio and program management methodology.
  • External alliances and project management: You may participate in committees, alliance management, and implement corporate or functional area projects as needed.



What you'll need to succeed
As well as very strong communication and organisational skills, you should have:

  • A track record of leading projects focused around at least one of: late stage / preclinical R&D, clinical studies, CMC, late stage development/commercialisation of drug candidates within the pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO industry
  • A BSc (or equivalent experience) within a life sciences or business discipline, ec biology, chemistry, etc
  • Excellent understanding of project and programme management principles, eg from having previously defined these for a business
  • Experience in designing and implementing integrated product development and portfolio management processes
  • The ability to work well within a cross-functional team framework and be highly delivery focused

Previous exposure to immunology projects is an advantage, but is not necessary.
